why i vote pro choice:

because i honestly truly believe that a woman has a right to choose what happens in her own body.

because she is smart enough to know what is right for her and her body.

because i believe that motherhood changes a woman’s body and mind in such a way that it should only be entered into completely of a woman’s free will.

because keeping abortion accessible and legal keeps it safe.

because anti-choice laws don’t effect the people trying to pass them.

because women of color, poor women, abused women, and young women are the most at risk if access is taken away more than it already is.

because i want women to live.

because every child should be wanted.

because a person should be ready to be a parent.

because making abortion illegal does not decrease the number of abortions.

because pregnancy is not a punishment for being a slut.

because the hyde amendment has got to go.

because the space between taking away abortion and taking away birth control is a slippery slope.

because it’s my body, my business.

because being pro-choice does not take the right to choose away from those who don’t agree w/ abortion, but being anti-abortion takes choices away from everyone.

and i will never, ever vote for someone who isn’t willing to pass laws to keep abortion safe and legal.  end of story.
