If we could live without passion maybe we’d know some kind of peace… but we would be hollow… Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we’d be truly dead.

I base my fashion taste on what doesn’t itch.

Word. Only for me, that also extends to underwear. If it looks good, I will buy it, but if it itches, it will find a new home, stat.
And it is the best, b/c it is bestowed upon my humble blog by one of the best people out there!
Of course, as with every Bloggy Award, there are A Few Rules. They are, forthwith:
Now that the formalities are out of the way, on to the good stuff.
I pass this award on to:
Teh Portly Dyke, who in all of her portly dykiness keeps me learnin’ and laughin’.
Renee of Womanist Musings. For never failing to stretch the the way I think.
The Red Queen of Elizabitchez. Ours is a long history of mutual blog stalking throughout all of Bloglandia. Not a troll is safe when we combine our powers against you.
Tobes of Hear Me Roar. She will take a rape apologist to task.
Cecelia from Ojibway Migisi Bineshii, bringing attention to Native News and Women’s stories.
Wear it proudly, all you who receive it! I know I will!
And, thanks, Pido.
One for K Edition!
A late edition for my dear Phriend who needs some cheering. There will be more of this. I should have posted this last night…but please enjoy this anyway!
The woman who brought us the detachable vagina (*want*) and taught us to think before we speak, has once again warmed the cockles of where my heart used to be.
Soju smells like rubbing alcohol*.
It doesn’t taste much different.
But I think I might be able to like it one day.
Korea, ready or not…

The Three Little Pigs.
The movie Pleasantville was one of my favorite films the year it came out. I have liked Jeff Daniels for a long time (or as Jax calls him, “Rich Uncle Jeff”. He’s a good guy to the people of Chelsea, MI), and it is one of the first movies in which I remember seeing Reese Whitherspoon.
My favorite part was the ending montage and closing credits, which featured a (IMHO) wonderful remake of John Lennon’s “Across the Universe”, performed by Fiona Apple. If I didn’t know better I would think that Lennon had written this song knowing somehow that she would do it some day, b/c she really does it beautifully. I have yet to find it for download on iTunes, but someday I will. This is by far one of my favorite Lennon songs (along w/ “Imagine”, which was the nursery theme I had when The Kid was born…too cute!).
Enjoy.

Champagne fairies, you ask?
Thought you could use some non-election related fluff…
How excited am I to see this?
Don’t fuck this up, Fox.
